Meet The clinic Founder
Wes Wickwar
PT, DPT, FAAOMPT
Wes Wickwar is a vastly experienced physical therapist and the founder of TransformHealth PT in Garden City, Kansas. With more than 23 years of experience, Wes has dedicated his career to helping people move better, recover fully, and return to the activities they love. Born and raised in Ulysses, Kansas, he has been serving the Southwest Kansas community since 2005, combining deep clinical expertise with a genuine commitment to personalized, patient-centered care.
Throughout his career, Wes has worked with a wide range of patients – from athletes aiming to return to sport, to individuals seeking to stay active, strong, and independent as they age. What sets him apart is his belief that true recovery goes beyond symptom relief. He focuses on understanding the whole person – their movement patterns, habits, stress levels, sleep, and lifestyle – to create lasting change rather than short-term fixes.
In July 2025, Wes launched TransformHealth Physical Therapy to bring a new kind of healthcare experience to Garden City. His vision was to build a practice that allows him to treat patients the way he has always believed they deserve to be treated: with time, attention, and compassion.
At TransformHealth, every session is one-on-one and designed to give patients the opportunity to truly be heard. Longer visits allow for detailed evaluation and meaningful conversations about each person’s goals, challenges, and progress. Wes believes that when patients are given space to understand their own bodies and take an active role in their recovery, the results are more sustainable – and often, life-changing.
This approach blends traditional physical therapy with elements of health coaching and long-term wellness planning. It’s about helping people not just overcome pain, but build the knowledge, confidence, and resilience to stay active for years to come. For Wes, success is seeing his patients empowered to take ownership of their health and continue thriving long after they leave the clinic.
Wes’s passion for physical therapy began with a lifelong fascination for how the human body works, a love of sports, and a strong desire to help others. That combination led him to pursue a career where he could make a tangible difference in people’s lives. Over the years, he has continued to refine his craft through advanced education and mentorship, while always keeping a strong personal connection at the center of his work.
Even after more than two decades in the profession, what Wes enjoys most is getting to know his patients and seeing them reach goals that once felt out of reach – whether that means returning to a favorite sport, playing with their children or grandchildren, or simply moving through life with greater ease and confidence.
Outside of work, Wes is a proud father to his two children, Jaylee and Ryan. He spends much of his time supporting their sporting events, coaching baseball, and staying active as a family. Whether he’s exercising, playing sports, or sharing good food and laughter with his girlfriend, Brett, Wes brings the same energy and enthusiasm to his personal life that he brings to his work.
At TransformHealth, his mission is simple: to help people take control of their health, move with confidence, and live stronger, healthier lives.
